WWW pages

I created my first web sites in 2001 and still find it most fascinating.

Main web page design principles:

  • Good usability and accessibility
  • Clear design, language and code
  • Easy maintenance
  • And amusing surprises, if possible :-)

Today I am especially interested in issues concerning adaptation to different user agents, such as mobile and aural browsers. I believe that a well defined document structure and the use of style sheets (CSS) ensure that pages are valid also in the future.

For layouts I have used Photoshop, Fireworks and CorelDraw. My article Why simplicity is essential tells more about the coding aspect.

Some sites for my own clients

Kotimaa-yhtiöt

I started to work there in 2004 and sites are numerous, most of them built on some kind of CMS. Here are some site buildings.

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland

I worked at VTT 2002-2003 and among other things made web pages for research groups and projects. This is a slide show, click the first link and watch.

What is now proved was once, only imagin'd.
